I did the lover's package with my husband and we were lucky enough to be guided by Nichola and Julien. The sights were absolutely amazing and although I was so scared to try it, I'm so grateful I did. I had some issues with learning the breathing apparatus as I mainly breath through my nose and was a little panicked, but Julien is so good at what he does. He made me feel calm and safe and let me go at my own pace while my husband was able to just explore with Nichola. Nichola was so fun and he got some amazing footage for us. I truly appreciate Julien and getting a video to commemorate such an awesome experience. My husband enjoyed it so much that he's even thinking about how to get scuba certified to be able to try more than just a beginner's package in the future. If you're questioning whether to try scuba diving book it with Julien and Nichola and you won't be disappointed.

My experience with Bora Ocean Adventures was absolutely incredible! As a brand new open water diver, I was both excited and nervous going into my first dives, but the team made me feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning. Our dive guide, Charles was patient, professional, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. They took their time making sure I felt safe underwater and never rushed the experience. Once we got into the water, it was beyond anything I imagined — crystal clear water, beautiful coral, colorful fish, and unforgettable marine life. What stood out most was how supportive and encouraging everyone was throughout the entire experience. You can tell they genuinely care about helping new divers enjoy and succeed in diving. By the end of the trip, I felt so much more confident and completely hooked on diving! If you’re considering diving in Bora Bora, I highly recommend Bora Ocean Adventures. They turned what could have been an intimidating experience into one of the highlights of my life. Five stars all the way!

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with this dive center. My partner and I booked a refresher dive because we had not dived for a long time and wanted to review important skills and procedures before returning to regular diving. While our instructor was friendly and clearly doing her best, she did not speak English and we do not speak French, which created a serious communication problem from the start. We headed out in heavy rain, and most of the briefing was attempted through Google Translate. We could barely hear or understand the explanations. Once we reached the dive site, we expected to complete refresher exercises in the water, but instead we descended almost immediately. Throughout the dive, communication was extremely limited. We did not feel properly guided or supervised, and at one point I nearly ran out of air. This situation made us feel unsafe underwater and significantly reduced our confidence in the dive operation. We were not given a proper briefing about the dive site, the route, marine life, or what to expect during the dive. As a result, we were unable to relax or enjoy the experience. Most concerningly, no safety stop was performed before ascending. Safety, communication, and professionalism are the foundations of any diving operation, especially during a refresher dive. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations, and we left feeling extremely disappointed.

We had an amazing time diving with Nico and captain Remi!! We saw so many Manta Rays on our first dive, it was magical and a must do. Followed by a second dive filled with tons of fish, great visibility and black tip sharks. They made me feel super comfortable as well given I’m not the most experienced diver. We came to Bora Bora for some days during our honeymoon and we arranged our baptism with Bora Ocean Adventures. As agreed, they picked us up at the Vaitape port, and after a short car ride, we arrived at their office, where we filled out the waiver and put on our wetsuits. After a quick boat trip to pick up another diver, we reached Anau, the dive site. Our instructor, Charles, who was very friendly, explained everything we needed to know about the equipment—how to use and wear it—and how to "communicate" underwater. The first two meters of the dive are the most challenging because you have to get used to the gear and the situation; we were a bit nervous at first, but Charles helped us with everything, allowing us to take our time and build confidence. From then on, everything went perfectly. Once we reached the bottom, we explored the seabed with its many corals and fish (unfortunately, no manta rays this time). After more than half an hour, we surfaced, and they offered us tea and biscuits on board. I should add that the boat is equipped with a freshwater shower for rinsing off, and they provide towels. At the end, they even gave us a certificate for our first dive. We would also like to thank the other instructor, Giulian, who piloted the boat and dove with the other diver.
