There is no better place in the world to get your PADI Open Water Diver license. There are close to 56 Koh Tao scuba sites in total, and our longest boat trip is about 40 minutes each way. It was an amazing experience doing my Open Water course with Fifty Six Dive Center. We had Alvaro as our instructor, and he was absolutely amazing. He was very professional while also making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. He paid great attention to detail, which made us feel safe and confident throughout the course. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to do my Advanced course with them as well. I would highly recommend Fifty Six Dive Center, and if you get the chance, definitely ask for Alvaro as your instructor!

We did our Open Water and our Advanced course with FiftySix and had a great time. I felt safe at all times and Nico and Steven did an amazing job - not just as instructors but also as friends. In the beginning diving and breathing underwater were really scary for me but they calmed me down and I started enjoying it so much! Just completed my open water diving course with fiftysix Dive on Koh Tao. They were excellent from day one. The location right on the beach, friendly helpful reception staff. My daughters were 12 & 14 confident pool swimmers but new to diving as was I. Our instructor Olivia Harris guided us through the whole process, explaining everything really clearly. Liv was great with the girls. Pool Sessions locations near the dive shop & dive boat & sites excellent for beginners. Couldn’t recommend more especially for parents doing with children. Be sure to ask for Liv but other instructors Ian very nice & friendly too. Thanks Fiftysix & Liv Harris for starting our dive journey. We will be back next year to do our Advanced course with you. Great dive center with a very good learning environment! The groups are small (we were only 4 people), which allows the instructor to really take care of each student. Our instructor, Ian, made sure that all the underwater exercises were done correctly. If something wasn’t perfect, he would ask us to repeat it until we fully understood and improved. This helped a lot with confidence and skills. During the dives, he made us feel safe and comfortable at all times. He was calm, attentive, and very professional. For the theory part, Ian explained each topic in a clear way, and he always took the time to answer all our questions, even beyond the course material. Also a big thank you to Liv and Bailey for their help and support. Highly recommend this dive center!

Incredible week with Fifty Six Dive! Since it was June (low season), I got a 1-1 private course with my instructor, Álvaro, for my PADI AOW + Nitrox combo. Álvaro was phenomenal—super calm, professional, and tailored every dive to my pace. We started with two relaxed fun dives on Tuesday to get me back into the groove (last dive was last September), followed by a top-notch course on Wednesday and Thursday. No dive-factory feeling, small groups, fair prices and brand-new gear. Huge thanks to Álvaro and the crew— I’ll definitely be back for more fun dives! 🤿🐢
