Our History
Since Into the Blue was founded in 2010, we’ve been driven by a simple goal. To deliver exceptional scuba diving experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and personal service.
Over the years, Into the Blue has established itself as a leading dive centre in Cape Town, welcoming divers from around the world and helping people discover, develop and deepen their passion for scuba diving. From first-time divers taking their first breath underwater to experienced divers advancing their careers, we’ve built our reputation on quality, experience and genuine care for every diver who joins us.
As a PADI 5-Star IDC Centre, we’re also proud to offer professional-level training, including scuba diving internships and Instructor Development Courses (IDCs). Our aim is not just to provide certifications we create opportunities for real-world experience, personal growth, lifelong memories and a genuine sense of belonging within the Into the Blue family.

What Makes Us Unique
At Into the Blue, we don’t try to be the cheapest dive centre instead we focus on providing true value for money through quality, experience and personalized service.
Our small-group approach is a key part of what makes us different. We have a maximum of four divers per Divemaster, with at least two Divemasters on every boat. This allows us to provide more individual attention while maintaining a strong focus on safety and creating a relaxed, enjoyable diving experience.
We also believe that professionalism doesn’t mean taking the fun out of diving. We keep the adventure, excitement and fun in scuba diving, while creating an environment where you can learn, grow and connect with other divers.
Our hands on owner is actively involved in the day-to-day running of the centre, helping ensure that standards remain high and that we’re continually looking for ways to improve the experience we provide.

Safety information:
Your safety is our priority. All dives are conducted by qualified and experienced dive professionals, following recognised diving safety standards and procedures. Before entering the water, guests receive a comprehensive safety briefing covering the dive plan, equipment, communication procedures and important safety protocols. Beginners and first-time divers are given additional guidance and instruction to ensure they feel comfortable and prepared. All diving equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure it is in safe working condition. Dive sites, depths and activities are selected according to the experience level of participants and the prevailing sea and weather conditions. Our team continuously monitors conditions and may change or postpone a dive if conditions are considered unsuitable for safe diving. Participants are required to disclose relevant medical information and complete the appropriate medical declaration before diving. Where required, medical clearance from a doctor must be obtained. We encourage every guest to follow the instructions of our dive professionals, dive within their training and experience, and communicate any concerns before or during the dive.

My wife and I had a really great time diving with Into the Blue Cape Town in May. The gear you get is very good, including Scubapro Seawing Nova fins, 7mm wetsuits, gloves, boots, and even an extra vest to wear under the wetsuit. The water was quite cold at around 14°C, and since I normally only dive in tropical waters, I was a bit unsure at first. But with the gear provided, I was absolutely fine for the whole dive. My wife did shiver at the end of dives though. You could stop the dives at any time and one of the dive master would get you to the boat. We had an amazing time in the kelp forest and even saw a pyjama shark. On our first dive at North Paw, we were also lucky enough to see a seal right at the end of the dive, which was a really nice surprise. The whole day was very well organized and the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to leave for the Garden Route the next day, otherwise we would definitely have booked another dive with them. Overall, it was a really great experience, and next time I am in Cape Town, I will for sure dive with Into the Blue again. Highly recommended.

From complete beginners to certified Open Water divers—what an incredible journey! A huge thank you to the entire Into the Blue team for helping our family become certified Open Water divers! Accommodating a family of four, each with different schedules and commitments, cannot have been easy. Between hockey fixtures, school commitments, travel plans, and Cape Town's famously unpredictable weather, the office team was consistently helpful, responsive, patient, flexible, and accommodating. We are incredibly grateful for the effort that went into making everything run so seamlessly. Special thanks to our instructors, Ivan and James, who were absolutely outstanding. Throughout our training, they struck the perfect balance between warmth and professionalism. Calm, encouraging, patient, and reassuring, they maintained the highest standards of safety while building our confidence every step of the way. We are now on our way to Sharm El Sheikh to put our newly acquired skills into practice, and we can only hope that the dive professionals we meet there will be as skilled, inspiring, and welcoming as the Into the Blue team. We would wholeheartedly recommend Into the Blue to anyone considering scuba diving, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to further your diving journey. Great experience with Into the Blue Scuba Dive Center! We did a two tank shore dive with them and had a fantastisch experience. Especially the dive in the kelp forest at Simon's town was so beautiful! Lot of fish, even a little shark and very colorful corals. Very good Equipment, high safety standards, good briefing, very professional and lovely guides (special thanks to Taryn for showing all the little stuff). We absolutely recommend diving with them!
