Founded in 2015 by diving instructor and trainer Mark Slingo, Ocean Tribe is a welcoming dive centre on Kenya’s beautiful Diani Beach. Our centre brings together a love of the ocean, years of teaching experience and a passion for helping people discover diving. Whether you are taking your first breath underwater or already have hundreds of dives behind you, we want you to feel part of the tribe from the moment you arrive.
As an SSI Diamond Instructor Training Centre, we offer everything from introductory scuba experiences and Open Water courses to specialist training, divemaster internships and instructor qualifications. Our daily dive trips explore Diani’s coral reefs and wrecks, where turtles, colourful reef fish and fascinating marine life make every outing different. For those looking for a wider Kenyan adventure, we also offer packages combining diving with a wildlife safari.

All dives, pool sessions and lessons have been coined by a good atmosphere, attention to details and safety, as well as fun and enjoyment. If you are staying for longer, make sure to check out the dive club offered by Ocean Tribe - it is an incredible deal. The team has gone out of their way to adapt the programme to my personal schedule, which makes sure you get the most out of your experience. The dives sites are close by yet diverse and the Ocean Tribe staff is superb at spotting even the most camouflaged wildlife. I had an amazing dive today with this dive centre and can recommend them enough. The team both on the boat and on land were incredibly friendly, professional and always ready to help with a smile. The dives were well organized, the equipment was in great condition and at every step I felt safe and well taken care of. Underwater, the marine life was stunningly rich – healthy corals, plenty of colourful reef fish and lots to see at every moment.
